Who would be interested in this course?

Students who would like to experience a broad range of humanities subjects - this course will dip into each subject to give students a taste before choosing a specific interest at level 2.

Students who want to do something about social injustice and want to take action!


Humanities subjects are all about developing understanding of the world around us, what has been before and what we experience now. As students of Humanities it is important to develop a broad knowledge across different disciplines. This course will allow students to experience aspects of four Humanities subject - History, Geography, Social Studies and Classics and will focus on the theme of Slavery and protest ranging from Ancient times to current slavery and breaches of human Rights and how that impacts people and places. Students will be able to take part in a social action to address current day issues to do with Slavery and make a difference. 


You will be able to choose ONE internal assessment from the subject that you find the most interesting.


This is a half year course and counts as one option course selection.
