Year 11 Science - Trades Physics
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr R. Eyre.
How are Physics ideas relevant to the real world? In this course the fundamental principles of Physics will be taught with a mind to how they are used in the building and construction industry. Ideas studied will include forces, heat transfer, electricity amongst others. The end of this course may involve a project to build a model house that showcases the different physics ideas that have been studied.
This course will prepare you to continue studying Physics in Year 12.
This is a half year course and counts as one of your two Science courses, or one of your additional option selections.
Although there are assessments to measure your progress, this course does not earn any credits.
Who would be interested in this course?
Students with an interest in a more vocational pathway, particularly in the building and electrical industries.
