Year 11 Science - Projects

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr R. Eyre.

In this course you will have the opportunity to develop your own investigation into an aspect of science, supported by your teacher.  You will need to find out the relevant science principles, what similar work has been done before, develop and submit a project proposal, collect data and present findings.  This work could also be used to enter competitions such as Science Fair.  You can work on this project individually, or by working in a group.

When selecting this course, please describe what scientific idea you would like to investigate in the "Required Notes".

This course will work in partnership with your other semester course to prepare you to continue studying that science course in Year 12.

You cannot do both Nature of Science and Science Projects without doing a science knowledge based course as well.

This is a half year course and counts as one of your two Science courses, or one of your additional option selections.

Who would be interested in this course?

Any student, particularly those from IL, or those with specialised interests already (e.g. robotics), who wish to pursue their own scientific interests supported by a science teacher.
