Year 11 Science - Ecology
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr R. Eyre.
The content for this course focuses on Ecosystems and learning about food chains/webs, adaptations, photosynthesis, community patterns including: zonation, succession, stratification and distribution as well as human impact on the environment and rongoā māori. All biological concepts are based on local curriculum and will involve field study investigations. Expect practical activities, written course work, field trips, biological vocabulary and eLearning.
Who would be interested in this course?
Students who enjoyed the Biology aspects of Year 9 & 10 Science, and are interested in studying Biology throughout the Senior school.
