Year 11 Science - Chemical Reactions
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr R. Eyre.
In this course students will investigate many of the different types of chemical reaction that can occur. They will conduct experiments, make observations and discover real world examples for the following types of reaction
Neutralisation
Displacement
Decomposition
Precipitation
Redox
Students will also look at factors that can be changed during reactions in order to increase the rate of those reactions.
This will give the student a solid foundation for studying Chemistry in L2 and L3.
This is a half year course and counts as one of your two Science courses, or one of your additional option selections.
Who would be interested in this course?
