Who would be interested in this course?Students who have previously experienced Achievement of at least two externals from Level 1 Mathematics - with Externals (1MAX) or the Chance & Data external from Level 1 Mathematics - General (1MAT).
This course is for students who have either succeeded in Level 1 Mathematics - General (1MAT), having at least achieved the Chance & Data external, or Level 1 Mathematics with Externals (1MAX), and who wish to follow a Statistics pathway. There is one externally assessed standard in this course; Probability Methods, which leads on to Level 3 Statistics (3MAS). Students develop skills in statistical data analysis to make predictions, and the theory of chance. This course may be taken in conjunction with Level 2 Mathematics - Algebra and Calculus (2MAC).
