Recommended Prior Learning

Achievement in Year 10 Music and skills on an instrument (or voice) 

Students should have already been learning an instrument for at least a year and attend regular tuition on the instrument they intend to use for performance assessments.

Exclusions: Students in this course cannot take 11MPJ.


This course is for students who are interested in extending their skills in the areas of:

  • music performance (solo and group)
  • composing music 
  • using music technology 
  • music theory
