Year 11 Technology - Modern Materials

11TMMF
Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr C. Yearbury.

Who would be interested in this course?

Students interested in the manipulation of materials to design and construct outcomes from wood, metal, mixed materials and/or electronics. Suits students heading down the construction, manufacturing, technologist or engineering career pathways.

In this course students will learn through a combination of theory and hands-on projects, to develop the skills and knowledge in a range of materials.

In the first half of the year students will have the opportunity to explore metal, wood, electronics and multi-materials in specialist classrooms. In the second half of the year students can choose their preferred material to design and develop an outcome from.

This is a full year course and counts as two option course selections.
