Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Wensor
This course provides students with the opportunity to develop fashion garments and products using a range of fabrics and applied design techniques. Students learn about commercial patterns and how to make minor adaptations to construct a casual wear garment. Skills taught alongside there project are fashion illustration and materials properties.
This course leads to Fashion and Design at Levels 1-3. Fashion and Design at Level 3 is university approved and offers scholarship.
This course aligns with the following vocational pathways and career opportunities: Creative Industries, Manufacturing and Technology and Construction and Infrastructure and leads into the following careers: Product designer, fashion designer, textile designer, interior designer, fashion stylist, fashion blogger/ journalist, pattern maker/ CAD operator.

Contributions and Equipment/StationeryBasic fabrics and patterns will be provided. Students that wish to use specialist fabrics are required to purchase their own.
