Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr C. Bangs
This course provides intensive language development, especially in reading and writing skills. I also promotes the use of collaboration to develop speaking and listening skills and confidence. Students may also receive assistance with understanding the language of their mainstream subjects.
Recommended Prior Learning
This course is for English Language Learners who have at ELLP scores of at least 1 in each of speaking, writing, reading and listening.

Pathway
Students in 9ELS may require 10ELS in the following year. This will depend on their language learning needs. The 9ELS teacher will recommend this.
