Course Description

The world is changing. Social media content creators have more clout than ever before. The gatekeepers are gone. You no longer need to wait until you’re an adult to make a change. You can influence the world around you right now. 

In this course you will investigate co-governance, climate change, Rainbow equity, or other hot topics in Aotearoa. You'll explore a range of texts, including news articles, videos, broadcasts and social media discussions. You will critique the language used, the key ideas communicated and intended effect on audiences.

This course builds on the skills developed in Years 9 & 10.


This is a half year course and counts as one of your two English course selections.
