Teacher in Charge: Mr C. Bangs
The ELIP English course is designed for English Language Students with a total ELLP score of less than 4. The course includes the skills in the English Language Learning Progressions. For more able students, modified units from the Junior English curriculum will be included. Some of the themes for units of work will be integrated with the Social Studies and Science programmes. Students develop basic writing, listening, speaking and reading skills in narrative, description and explanation. These form the basis of the skills set in the NCEA ESOL writing and reading standards, which students will require later.
It is the policy of Lynfield College to have school-wide policies that inform parents and students of the criteria for administering all Assessments for National Qualifications.
