Level 3 Sports Studies
Course Description

For students considering a future in sport, the Level 3 Sports Studies course enables students to apply their subject knowledge to a practical context. The course draws on a number of different aspects of physical activity encouraging students to develop a greater understanding of sport and physical activity.
This course follows on from Level 2 Sports Studies and has a focus on learning about and through sport and physical activity. The course involves learning about fundamentals of personal training, fitness, injury prevention, sports performance and coaching. Whilst this is not a university approved course, successful students will gain the MIT certificate in Sports Studies at Level 3.
Who would be interested in this course?
Students who have previously succeeded in earning 10 Level 2 credits from 2SPS, PEL, PES, OED or approval from HOD.
An active interest in participation in sport or physical activity is essential.
