Level 3 Personal and Community Care
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms S. Matheson.
Students will work on a variety of practical and theoretical areas. The units include; customer service, communication, anatomy and physiology, beauty product design and prototyping, makeup design and application and hair styling.
Students will participate in workshops held by outside practitioners with a focus on hair and makeup.
Future career pathways - Nursing (which can lead to cosmetic nursing), pharmacy assistant, health worker, care provider, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, beautician, beauty therapist, hairdressing, makeup artistry, retail etc.

Who would be interested in this course?
Entry must be approved by the teacher in charge of Personal and Community Care. Students must have an interest in an element of this course: Health, wellbeing, care provision, anatomy/physiology, beauty, makeup, hair.
Assessment Information
Each assessment has a theory (written/typed) and practical component.Not all practical assessments qualify for a resubmission.
