Course Description

Level 2 Sports Studies is a predominately Unit Standard based course with opportunities to gain Merit and Excellence level credits in two Achievement Standards. The course has a focus on sports coaching, leadership and running a recreational event at school. This course also explores basic anatomy of the human body and its relation to the performance of sports skills. This course is a lead into Level 3 Sports Studies, where students can gain a certificate from MIT at the end of Level 3.
Recommended Prior Learning
Level 1 PE Achievement Standard 1.1 (AS90962) or approval by HOD
An active interest in participation in sport or physical activity is essential.
