Course Description

LEARNING ACTIVITIES: Students will work on a variety of practical and theoretical areas. The units include: Health and safety in the workplace, wellbeing, care provision in a variety of community settings, aromatherapy, natural beauty product prototyping, makeup design and application, hair styling, personal presentation and customer service. Students will participate in workshops held by outside practitioners such as a special effects makeup workshop hosted by BodyFX.
This course links to the service, social and community and creative sector pathway and encompasses these sector related careers: Nursing, nurse aid, pharmacy assistant, health worker, care provider, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, podiatrist, beautician, beauty therapist, hairdressing, makeup artistry, and retail.
Recommended Prior Learning
Students must have an interest in an element of this course - health, wellbeing, care provision, customer service, aromatherapy, beauty, makeup, hair.
