Level 2 Statistics
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr D. Cheung
This Statistics course is for students who have succeeded in Level 1 Mathematics - with Externals (11MAX), however, who wish to change direction into Statistics. There is one externally assessed standard in this course; Probability Methods.
Leads on to Level 3 Statistics (3MAS). Students develop skills in statistical data analysis and statistical literacy.
This course may be taken in conjunction with Level 2 Mathematics - Algebra and Calculus (2MAC).
Recommended Prior Learning
Achievement of at least two externals from Level 1 Mathematics - with Externals (11MAX), along with the AS91035 Multivariate Data internal.
Entry from Level 1 Mathematics - General (11MAT) will require discussion and permission from the Head of Faculty.
