Level 2 Early Childhood Education

Course Description

This course provides students with an introduction to the field of Early Childhood Education. Students will gain a good understanding of issues relating to the care and education of young children, with a focus on development, health, hygiene and nutrition. In addition, students will be taught strategies for developing positive relationships with young children and their families.

This course links to the social and community services sector pathway and encompasses these sector related careers: early childhood education, primary teaching, nursing, nannying, babysitting, flight attendant and parenting. Students can gain credits towards the Level 2 National Certificate in Early Childhood Education.
