Level 1 Mathematics - General
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr K. Paine
Level 1 Mathematics is a general mathematics course that includes units of work from within the Number, Algebra, Measurement, Geometry, Statistics, and Probability strands using written and practical methods of study.
This fully internal course is designed for students who are interested in continuing their study in Mathematics and Statistics, however, it does not lead to Calculus at Level 2, due to the omission of the three Level 1 externals of Algebra, Geometry and Graphs.
Successful completion leads to Level 2 Mathematics (2MAT) in the following year.
Recommended Prior Learning
This course is designed for students who are working at Curriculum Level 4 at the end of Year 10 in Mathematics.
