Year 11 Music - Projects
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr G. McLarin.
Music Projects focuses on collaborative music making, with a large emphasis on group performance and songwriting. Students will perform regularly throughout the year, both in class and in wider community competitions such as RockQuest and Play It Strange. They will continue to develop their instrumental capability, as well as their ensemble skills.
This is a full year course and counts as two option course selections.

Songwriting and group performance practice.
Term 2
Rockquest Performance, play it strange entry, school gigs.
Term 3
Composition, Music Technology, Solo/group performance
Term 4
Tour and Performances
Who would be interested in this course?
Anyone who is a developing musician with a focus on band skills and songwriting. Previous involvement in the Music department would be ideal, as well as participation in the school itinerant program or private instrumental lessons.
Exclusions: Students in this course cannot take 11AMSF.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
A clear file folder would be helpful, as well as access to your own instrument, or a hire instrument.
